Orlando Robinson is a freelance Producer-Director making premium factual documentaries for international broadcasters and globally recognised brands. His work has aired on BBC One, Two and Three, Channel 4, Netflix and Amazon Prime, and he produces commercial and branded content for clients including Toyota, Tate and Southbank Centre. He combines a passion for storytelling with strong technical craft, bringing together the eye of a creative shooter and the practical instincts and project management skills of a producer.
Running through his work is a desire to capture authentic real-world accounts told through complex characters and emotionally driven storytelling — with an emphasis on exploring social issues through human stories.
His credits span premium sports documentaries, talent-led and authored films, true crime and retrospectives, current affairs and factual entertainment.
Creative and practical, he is adept across the full production lifecycle: developing projects from scratch, realising complex international shoots on location, and managing intricate post workflows to deliver on schedule. He holds an MA in Directing Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths and develops his own personal projects, where he is drawn to the dark humour found in real-life moments and the complexity of problematic characters.
